A Little Slice of Paradise

I am Clarence Jones. I was born in The Bronx N.Y., home of the Bronx Bombers who later became known as the Yankees, we know bagels!! I have always had an affinity for cooking even at a young age; according to my mom I scrambled an egg, shell and all, at the age of 6 (I'd like to go on record stating I have no recollection of this). Later on, I worked as a head and pastry Chef in several fine dining restaurant for well over 30 years. I moved to Fernandina Beach in 2010 and met my beautiful wife, Tymira Henry, in 2011. We were married in 2013 at The Journey Church while they were still on the island. My wife, now Tymira Jones, is Yulee bread and born a true Yulee Coolee as they used to say. She is a middle school teacher, and the first cousin of that one hand stiff arm take you down professional football player, yeah Derrick Henry. We purchased Aloha Bagel in 2020, we were extremely impressed with the food, service and of course the Hawiian decor. We were determined to keep everything that the locals loved about Aloha Bagel the same while at the same time introduce some my famous desserts. So, we changed the name only from Aloha Bagel & Deli to Aloha Bagel & Bakery. Same great bagels and sandwiches now we also have great desserts.
